Ricardo Luis dos Santos

About Me

I’m a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Informatics of Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Porto Alegre – Brazil, under the supervision of Professor Lisandro Zambenedetti Granville, PhD. I’m also a member of the Computer Networks Group of UFRGS.

I’ve achieved my B.Sc. degree in Information Systems at Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (UNIJUI) in 2008, under supervision of Professor Edson Luiz Padoin, Ms.C.

Currently, my research activities are conducted inside the Computer Networks Group of UFRGS. The focus of my research is in the Network Programmability, Network Virtualization, and Future Internet. In the recent past, I used to work at a project named Malia: Management of Applications Lifecycle through IT Analytics, funded by Hewlett-Packard R&D Brazil, in a cooperation between UFRGS and HP Labs Bristol and Palo Alto.
